Each clinic is priced at £60, and if you sign up for the full series of four clinics, you can take part for just £220. Join us for an exhilarating series of horseback riding events designed to showcase your skills and speed. Each event will challenge you in a friendly atmosphere where you can learn and grow as a rider. Whether you're a novice or an experienced equestrian, there's something for everyone!


All Breeds, All Tack

Saddle Up Series

Format

Each clinic consists of two exciting components that test different aspects of your riding abilities. Patterns for both challenges will be sent to all registered participants in advance of each event to allow for practice and preparation.

Technical Challenge


A pattern-based challenge testing precision, control, and technical riding skills. Riders will be scored on accuracy, horse responsiveness, smoothness of transitions, and overall horsemanship.


Speed Event

A timed challenge testing speed and agility while maintaining control. Fastest time wins, with penalties applied for knocked poles, missed markers, or off-pattern riding.

Judging Criteria & Awards

Technical Challenge

Riders will be scored on:


  • Accuracy and precision in executing the pattern
  • Control and responsiveness of the horse
  • Smoothness of transitions
  • Overall presentation and horsemanship
  • Completion of all required elements

Speed Event

Riders will be scored on:


  • Time to complete the course (fastest time wins)
  • Penalties may be applied for knocked poles, missed markers, or off-pattern
  • Safety and control must be maintained at all times


Time Penalties


  • Knocked pole/barrel: +5 seconds
  • Missed gate/marker: +10 seconds
  • Off pattern:  (10 participation points awarded)
  • Unsafe riding: Disqualification at judge's discretion

 

Event Awards

At each clinic, awards will be presented for:


  • Top 3 Technical Challenge
  • Top 3 Speed Event
  • Top 3 Overall Event 



 

Series Championship Awards

At the final event in July, the following series awards will be presented:


  • Overall Series Champion (highest total points across all four events)


  • Reserve Champion (second highest total points)


  • Third Place (third highest total points)


  • Most Improved Rider (greatest improvement from Event 1 to Event 4)


  • Sportsmanship Award (voted by participants)
